SKILL LEVELS
Many of you have been given skill levels to complete.  Please can we request that these be completed as soon as possible and returned to the office.  They are essential to your career development.

UNIFORM
We have been asked by various homes to request that staff when working wear their correct full uniform and their ID badge. It is essential that you wear your badge for ID purposes and please note that jeans are not acceptable.  There are uniforms available at the office should you require them.  Please also note that mobile phones should not be used when working on the floor.

ORCHID CAREER DAY
We will be having a display at the Park Inn on Wednesday 08 October 2008.  This event is to promote Orchid and invite people along to register with us.  Should any member of staff wish to help on the day, even for an hour, this would be greatly appreciated. It will involve chatting to members of the public who are interested in Orchid and explaining about their work. Tracey and Deborah will be there all day, so you will not be on your own. Please see Tracey or Deborah if you can spare an hour or two.

TRANSPORT
There are still some problems with transport and it is getting increasingly busier.  We ask that you are patient and that your pick up or collection time may be slightly later than stated depending on traffic.  We also request that you are on ready for your pick up

FEEDBACK
We are this month sending out feedback sheets to a random selection of homes/hospitals to gauge the feelings from them.  We will inform all staff of the comments once they have been returned.  We thank everyone for their cop-operation in this matter, it is a way of monitoring the level of service provided in all the homes/hospitals from Orchid staff.

We are always looking for ways to improve our service if you have any ideas then please contact us, we are always pleased to have feedback.

TRAINING
There will be a manual handling training day held here at Orchid on 22 October 2008.  Please be aware that your training needs updating yearly and should you need this update then please book on the course.  The charge is £30.00. The course will start at 10.00 a.m.   Places are limited so please book early.

Finally whatever comments and feedback you have please pass then onto to the office as then we can continually look at improving our service to clients and staff.
